Is there a solution to a very valuable spike, that the spike plate is coming undone? I dont just want to put any kind of glue or adhesive in the spike plate, because it is a very valuable spike, (150$). Will nike fix them for free?? Any help would be appreciated, if you have any kind of adhesive that works, just let me know what you used. Thanks in advance
will nike fix them? you gotta be out of your mind. however, if you have some shoe goo or contact cement, you can do it yourself.

My Zoom Shift spike plate started to come off. I think it was because I left them in the car and the heat just melted the glue. Anyway, I used super glue. I haven't run in them again yet, but it looks like it worked very well.
I used shoe goo on my Jasari's. It worked fine.
Did you put the spike in a clamp, for it to dry or adheve to the spike plate? Or did you just let the glue fix the spike itself? Thanks for the replies

Sadder than the fact that Nike asked for $150 for some shoes, someone actually gave it to them! Chumps overpay for mediocre product.

thanks! for those of us who check ebay frequently for spikes now know to look out for "$150" spikes.
your best bet is to ask the mods to remove this post and go to dyestat. you'll get a more serious response there.
The spike plate on my nike XC spikes snapped in the middle of my first cross race my senior year. The spikes turned upside down and went into my feet and i ran the last mile with huge blood blisters but i won anyways.
My mom called up nike and told them about it and they said to mail them the shoes then they would mail me a replacement of any pair of shoes of comparable value. I got some zoom kennedys instead.
So call up nike or go back to the store you bought them from and complain; it might work.
