I have had problems building up my base before CC so far my summers have been junk mileage or I have built up too fast (40 miles to 90 miles in 4 weeks, then end up injured).
I've since bought books and read everything I can find on training(lore of running). Any way.. for anyone who knows, do this look any good??
(as much as possible run on grass, the times and some distances are very flexible, I've got no idea what I'll feel like)
40miles to 80miles (May23-July29)
[4 miles] (4) Tempo @ 5.5-6 min pace/ 4 HRlevel
[8 miles] (4, 4) easy @ 6.5-7 min pace each/ 2/3 HRlevel
[4 miles] (4x1 mile) @ 5-5.5 min each/ 4/5 HRlevel 1 min rec
[8 miles] (4, 4) easy @ 6.5-7 min pace each/ 2/3 HRlevel
[4 miles] (4) Fartlek @ 5.5-6.5 min pace/ 3/4 HRlevel
[8 miles] (8) Long run @ 7 min pace/ 3 HRlevel

80miles to 100miles (July30-August31)
[8 miles] (8) Tempo @ 5.5-6 min pace/ 4 HRlevel
[16 miles] (8, 8) easy @ 6.5-7 min pace each/ 2/3 HR level
[8 miles] (8x1 mile) @ 5-5.5 min each/ 4/5 HRlevel 1 min rec
[16 miles] (8, 8) easy @ 6.5-7 min pace each/ 2/3 HRlevel
[8 miles] (12x400/6x800, 5) @ 65-75 or 2:10-2:30 pace/ 4/5 HRlevel .5-1 min rec, 5@ 7 easy after
[16 miles] (16) Long run @ 7 min pace/ 3 HRlevel
[8 miles] (8) Hills @ 6.5-7 min pace/ 3 HRlevel
[and yes I'm building up from 40miles to 100miles over 101 days..
for 1001 miles]
Any advice?
