My registered Elzio broke again, oh well.
No particular order
I need multi talented guys, guys who could do many thing not just run or swim or play football, they had to have been able to do a number of different things.
Jackie Robinson.....baseball, football, NCAA long jump champ****
Jim Thorpe.....he could do it all.
Jim Brown.....considered to be the greatest lacrosse player, is the greatest fullback. Also ran track and played baseball.
Milt Campbell...A great swimmer, Olympic Decathlon gold, number one in the world as a 110 hurdler, and was something special in judo. Also played NFL/CFL football.
Bo Jackson twice Alabama decathlon champion, Heisman winner, pro baseball. pro football
If I was going to have some runner it would be Lon Myers, who held the American record in the 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and the mile. Thinking he was the first to break 50.0 in the 400.
Wilt Chamberlain, he ran the 400, high jumped, killer volleyball player, basketball.
Trying to stay away from just decathletes, who really are the best athletes.
Grant Holloway, his track exploits and he could have played college footbal he was that good.
Tommie Smith, he went to SJS on a baskeball ride. He not on;ly ran the 100,200, 400 he also long jumped 25-10ish.
Bob Hayes, in his book RUN BULLET RUN he talks about his baseball, basketball days, he was a star there. And he went to Florida A&M to just play football, he had to be talked into runing track.
I can't see guys who can only run belonging in with those guys. Myers the exception.
**** his older bro Mack winning the 1936 Olympic 200m silver.
