I navigated away from the screen after the first couple pragraphs.
"A few weeks ago, Max McNerney, the best man at my wedding, and the media guy who told our team’s story to the world, texted me." - this to me sounds like a lot of M4M tension that I dont want to read about on a Friday morning before a holiday weekend.
Want to bring up Drew Hunter? Fine, let's talk about Drew Hunter.
Drew Hunter never was nor is going to be. His legacy is tainted due to abandoning his coach in completely immature fashion. Plain and simple, Tinman Elite without Tinman himself was destined for failure -- and cursed -- from the onset of the decision.
Drew Hunter is otherwise the definition of a washed up has been who peaked in high school. When your parents pass on reasonably good athletic genes and coach you from the time you are born the chances of success at the high school level increase dramatically. Hunter hit some major milestones but that was also a long time ago. He would be irrelevant in today's NCAA and therefore has fallen to irrelevance as a pro.
I dont want to ever read what Drew Hunter writes on his beehive blog again. He's Boulder trash.
