This tread is for the Patriot League Cross Country Season in 2025
1. Army
2. Navy
3. Bucknell
4. Boston
5. Colgate
6. American
7. Lehigh
8. Holy Cross
9. Lafayette
10. Loyola
1. Navy - They return 5 guys who placed in the top 10 at last year's championship. Eike and, Gandini, and Partlow will make big jumps forward as sophomores.
2. Army - None from their top 5 graduate and Davis should win the individual title, but they just aren't as strong as Navy.
3. Boston - Only because the other schools are weak. There is no excuse for Boston to not win every year, 3rd should be seen as big failure.
4. Bucknell - I'm assuming they don't choke this year like they always do. But let's be honest, they are going to choke again and finish 6th.
5. American - They had a very young team in 2024 and everyone is back.
6. Colgate - Their outdoor season was pathetic after a decent 2024 XC season. They are heading in the wrong direction.
7. Holy Cross - they aren't good, but Holy Cross should at least have 2 in the 10-20 range with Lyons and Mahon, while the teams behind them will have nobody that high.
8. Lehigh - They are in serious trouble, their team looks like a high school JV team. Historically they never race well on their own course for the championships. They will look like a top 3 team at Paul Short and then they will be a bottom 3 team at Patriots
9. Lafayette - There are no words to describe how bad Lafayette is. They have talented guys but they might have the worst coach in the NCAA.
Loyola - I don't even think they recruit anymore, they just grab NARPs off the treadmill from their rec center and drive them to XC meets.

Every league should have their own tread. It would be inspirational when the fellows on the team get tired.

Thoughts on released schedules so far? Most notably Bucknell skips out on PSR this year and long schedules for Lehigh and Navy. Curious to see what Army, Holy Cross, and Lafayette have planned.
I love Thomas Smigo I can't wait for him to smigo all over Army at conference he's gonna do such a good job blowing his load in the first mile
any early feedback on the incoming frosh classes? any diamonds in the rough going to make some noise - really interested to see if any blue-chippers dropped down to Patriot League since they opted out of rev share
I hear Freddy Collins has fully recovered from his failed jaw reconstruction surgery and will be ready to go for this cross season… If it comes to a dip at the line for the individual title luckily they go with the chest and not the chin.
good guy wish him the best
absolute terrible timing for recruiting - Bucknell and Lafayette may steal a kid or two who had Lehigh on their list..
Let’s talk about American.
They haven’t lost anyone important this year but I wouldn’t expect much. Their weak core and questionable low sticks make them a wild card. While they may be able to pull it together some meets I think they’ll follow a similar path last year, starting strong and fizzling out.
With Lehigh losing their coach who knows what they will look like this year with one coach across both men’s and women’s teams. They’ll likely be in shambles for a while, but one can hope they’ll be able to put something together in track at least.
BU with their old heads finally kicking the bucket is being led by Vesty who really knows how to get 4th. They’ll be solid in xc but not too big of a threat depth wise.
Colgate as irrelevant as ever.
fun game guess which Patriot mens roster is biggest without peeking - interesting numbers I’m sure when SEC cutting down to 10. My guess? Colgate
1. Navy
2. Army
3. Terriers
4. Colgate
5. American
6. Bucknell
7. Holy Cross
8. Lehigh
9. Leopards
10. Loyola
read it and weep,
The Birch Guy
Bucknell looks extremely weak right now; hopefully, they can turn it around in the next couple of weeks.
American’s Jaden Frederick had a really strong workout last week, and I’m excited to see him in the mix at the Patriot League Champs.
I'm an Army grad. Beat Navy! Beat them with a stick!

it's Navy for sure.
Some schools didn't opt in, but they will...and then they'll use it as an excuse to cut rosters and save $ so they can invest in their fb teams.
Big preview for PLs at Paul Short
In the Gold Race we got Army, Boston, Colgate, Lehigh, and Navy
In the Brown is American, Holy Cross, Lafayette, and Loyola
Some interesting choices with no Paul short for Bucknell and Colgate in the gold race
