I plan to run 4:15 1500m tomorrow in my race. In previous races i have lost due to a slow first 50 meters which got me boxed in.I have practise running at my race pace but that doesn't involve running a faster first 50 meters. To Iavoid oxygen debt building up to soon should i go slightly slower than practised after 50 meters so that my lap time will still be as I plan? Or am i thinking in too much detail?
Its an important competition and I really want to do well in this. Thanks
