so I’m 21, and in my sophomore year college eligibility. I was wondering if 1:51.9 or faster is possible for me this next race. A couple workout I’ve done is 8x200, 6x200, 4x200. The 8 were at 32 w 30 sec rest, the 6 were at 30 w 1 min rest, then the 4 were 27, 26, 25, and 24 respectively. Smooth workout until the last 2ish reps, then it got tough. Another session I did was 3x(300, 300, 200) with 1:30 btw reps and 5 min btw sets. Paces were 42 for all the 300s and 27 for the 200s. This was like an 8/10 effort wise and got tough somewhere in the middle of the last set. Im more speed based, but is it possible based on these workouts. I’m also stacking bicarb and a couple other supplements for the race. Thank you for any replies.
