Having been at Penn Relays today - crowd size was decent (despite rain) - I’ll estimate attendance at 20-25,000. Looking ahead to late May GST at Franklin Field - I think 20,000 would be a great draw. However, that leaves 25-30,000 empty seats - that won’t look good on GST broadcast. Now watching Drake Relays broadcast - Drake Stadium’s capacity is perhaps 10-15,000? If GST could draw 8-10,000 in Des Moines - it would be a much better look for the broadcast.
