No one said he wasn't good enough to be a top 100 guy in the US for distance running. Just that he's a decent sized fish in a small pond and that he ain't fast enough to pay the bills. He'd have better luck financially if sponsoring him didn't come with all the added baggage of whatever the guy was up to in Portland. No one said he was bad at running though. Just that he's done some pretty shady stuff and isn't good enough to contend at the highest level. He's in his late 20s so this is his peak on the track too most likely.
Is that even a PR for him? I'm surprised the NAIA record is that slow in this day and age. Plenty of Kenyans are in the NAIA unless they all transfer to D1 when they get good.
Who cares? Ryan Ford has a 13:34 5k PR and just ran 2:08 at Boston. I'll start caring when he's sub 2:10. Why waste time running 5k's still? The dude needs to be in a half then a full
Idk why people want to root for someone who was asked to leave Portland for sexual assault and being a creep. Make it make sense.
Can anyone actually verify this? I run NAIA as well and I’ve heard about these accusations since last year, but all I've been able to find out about it is hearsay. I’m not saying he didn't do the things he's accused of ,but the accusations are so serious that I’d expect something more concrete.

I watched Mike Boit win the 1975 NAIA 800 for E. New Mexico. That was after his 800 Bronze in Munich and 4th in the 1500 there !! Not a bad NAIA runner !?!
