Why colleges shouldn't be allowed to recruit athletes out of high school

but here is the solution you are looking for. instead of the P2s keeping all of the money they make, what should happen is all of the money generated by college sports should be put in a pot and then divided equally between all NCAA universities.

Are you trolling? Imagine being the best high school runner in the class of 2025 and always dreaming of running for Coach XXX and your dad's alma mater at University of XXXX, and they you are told you HAVE to go to some school on the other side of the country that has a new coach you've never talked to and all you know about him is that his training philosophy is higher mileage and you've always gotten injured doing higher mileage. This is not going to advance the sport.
Every sport in every league has this reality. I call it a reality, not a problem. Athletics should reward excellence, not penalize it. If a coach and program have figured out methods to help athletes be successful, why should they be penalized?

My buddy's kid in high school has committed to play QB at an SEC school. He won't tell me how much they are offering him, but it's a really big number.

I agree the money in college sports has kind of ruined the school spirit part of the sport. Just go where they pay the most. But if my kid was offered 6 or even 7 figures, I'd be just fine with these new rules.
