I broke both those records over the weekend already, on a new track that is 20 percent faster, with super shoes and a combination of potassium,calcium,sodium bicarbs. My 5 minute mile improved to 340. no problem.

Sounds like a good April Fools joke but honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if this was true. If not the distance being short then the surface providing an unfair advantage over other tracks. Like super shoes.
There needs to be a standard and regulation across all tracks in terms of construction to even out the playing field. It’s getting ridiculous
