I often don't want to but I know it's good for me. Like some vegetables. My motivation is more about health than what feels good or bad in the short term. Indirectly that makes me feel good.

A lot of people would feel that way during the course of each day, but sometimes it's better to not avoid social interaction for your own well being.

Almost everyone pretends they're happier than they really are. People say, "how's it going?" and almost everyone pretends it's going good. A lot of the time, that's a giant lie. But part of that is we don't want to make others feel burdened by our state. It shouldn't be their or your responsibility to make someone else feel better.

Running monk is what I'm going for.

I'm very happy to be on my own, listen to music, drink coffee, read, game.

But man coworkers...random people...so many folks out there create their own problems, make things that don't matter a big deal, or get hung up on things you can't change.

I'm guilty of it too we all do it but I do it less.

I am selfish. But my selfishness is less of a burden and a harm on other people than other people's selfishness.

Music is better than gossip come at me bro.

I've been trying to connect with people because I've ruined my life, or had my life served on a poo platter by God. A little of both, for sure.

ppl are difficult, but above all, people are afraid. We gotta also remember hat we get more boring and more used to being serious, afraid, and predictable each year that we age.

We must stay flexible. we must be aware of our faults and habits so that we can laugh at them. I laugh at my own posting habits on this website, for example.

i don’t think it’s weird or wrong to feel most closely connected with pigeons, or trees, or some other non-human option.

being out of step with values and practices of the ppl around you, i definitely get that too.

the whole “being in this world, but not of it” has some jesus-y connotations, but that’s pretty much where I find myself all the same.

What are pure and wholesome intentions?

Yeah, I only interact with people i have to at work and whenever I have to go to the store or gas station. I just want to be a left alone and run. Friends and family distract from training. So I rather live in a situation where training doesn't get interrupted due to nonsense. If I ever got a large sum of money to be able to just run. I would probably go live in some remote mountain town and only interact with people on race day.
