Adrien Dannemiller ran a 1:08.25 in the indy half thats 5:14 pace. The kid is only 16 most high school kids cant run a 10:28 two mile let alone doing it for 13.1. Americas future in the marathon?

He seems to be more of a distance runner, since his track times are only 4:17 for the 1600, and 9:23 for the 3200.
yeah, because thats so utterly terrible for a high schooler.
He is a Junior in High School. He's in the middle of his track season. His track times of 4:17.41 in the 1600 and 9:23.13 were both run last Friday at the conference meet. Those times are currently the #4 & #2 ranked times for Indiana High School boys. I'm not so sure running a half marathon one week before track sectionals is a good idea but he is definetly fit!
Very impressive performance. Wow.
Lot's of people thought it was pretty amazing when I ran a 1:19 half marathon last year (age 16)(they obviuosly don't know much about running) but I don't have anything on this guy. That is amazing; he's going to be hell of a marathoner in ten years.
Over 30 years ago a 15 year old ran 2:29:11 for the marathon!
Mitch Kingery.
I saw the kid cut the course like crazy...it is not a legit time.
lets not over look that another 16 year old also went 1:15:58 in the same race.

Didn't cut the course but I heard it was only about 12.6 miles.
how fast would Ritz have run a half marathong at age 16?
much faster i presume.
My Ritzy poo would have run 57:22
His time has to be close to legit. because Ben Kimondiu (Kenya) won the race, and Ben is a legit world class marathoner who won the Chicago Marathon a few years ago beating Paul Tergat.
Ben ran 63 minutes in this race, and he is a 2:08 marathoner (or faster) so the kid's time is legit.
How could the kid cut the course and get away with it (marshalls etc...)?
I was 11th in the race, and we paced together the whole way. We both started pressing on the Butler guys (Thomas Frazier and Olly Laws) and he almost outkicked Frazier in the last 400. He ended up getting him by gun time. The day was just perfect for running that distance, and the field was great. Give the kid the credit he deserves.
Why did he run a half marathon in the middle of the season?
Even if he is talented thats a lot of stress to try and recover from, especially if he is like any other high school kid, who runs 1 or 2 duals a week and then an invite on saturday.
Is this Brook's little brother? Holy sh!t man, good job.
It is crazy to run a balls-out half marathon in the middle of track season, but I admire the kid for doing his own thing. I wonder how his HS coach feels about it.
who cares he's only 16 and he has next year to win state
Yeah he is brooks little brother from what I know. He also ran 16:02 for his last 5k of the half. Not to bad after 10 miles in 52:18. Did he run those marks the night before he ran the half marathon?
Did he really, if so where (how much)? The time is pretty amazing.
