Hey, Doyle lied to us. Said Shelby would race in January 😉.
Wisecracks aside, Razorback Invite just became must-watch streaming tv. Willing to shell out a month's subscription just to see her run again.
Also, Shelby mentioned in her recent All Access YouTube video she would probably be doing an 800 time trial just to get the feel of racing turnover again.
Shelby will probably post the results on her IG, but if not, LRC should keep on top of this.
I'm looking forward to seeing what she runs, and looking forward even more to trolling the haters here afterwards. Like bro we get it she doped, there's no reason to say the same tired joke 30 times in the same thread everyone already knows.
Oh boy oh boy. All the Shelby trolls will be in heaven, alternatingely telling us that she was framed by Wada / sabotaged by a female competitor from her team / unlucky with her beef burrito that magically included artificial boar nuts. Then the rekbot will take over all threads again, pretending there was no evidence and all experts were corrupt and incompetent.
I hear that they’ll have exotic food trucks down there too!!!
I think you mean "authentic." Exotic isn't quite racist enough for her and her lawyers, "authentic" Mexican food truck is much better at painting the picture of questionable meat, poor food handling practices and scary brown people from across the border.

I'm guessing 8:23
I'm guessing that's way too fast, as Shelby's pr is 8:26.66 @ BU from 2/2020.
Fastest time ever run by a US woman is Elle St. Pierre's 8:20.87 gold winner at last year's WIC.
Alicia Monson has the second fastest ever at 8:25.05 from 2/2023 which I'm not sure was ever ratified as the then-AR.
Razorback Invite MR is 8:51.60 set last year by Taylor Roe/OSU.
Let's see if this announcement attracts other top women who want to take her on -- or want to avoid her, thus potentially reducing the field to Shelby vs. decent collegians.
We live in a world where up is down and down is up, and nothing matters and anyone can do anything.
I didn't care that Shelby was back racing, her ban is up and I obviously expected she'd be back. But she so obviously doped and so obviously lied, I just have nothing in me to feel any sympathy for her. Any platform she's put on or race she'll run I'll ignore, and I'll never be in the stands when she races, but you'll have to forgive me for not caring if poor baby Shelby gets booed.
I won't be shelling out any money to flotrack of all platforms who puts out the worst content to watch her whine about consequences.
Her supplements were dirty and she probably knew it.

Also, let's see how Arkansas handles this news.
Do they promote Shelby in their pre-meet press releases & social media posts?
Or, do they "bury the lead," not mentioning Shelby until the end of their pr announcements -- or, not mentioning her at all?
Possibly the biggest news in the world of indoor t&f and likely one of the biggest stories for all of 2025. And, it goes to Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Regardless of your opinion about her doping sentence (I personally think she knowingly took nandrolone), her return to the American women's 1500-5000m scene will make the next season even more interesting to follow, and I am excited to see who can beat her.
