A guy on my team ordered a pair of running shoes from these guys; and from what he told us tonight at practice, seems to have been scammed. The company directed his payment for the running shoes to a Venmo address, then claimed that they could not access this payment. Venmo has apparently been no help. Is there any recourse on this, or has he lost all his money? I feel bad for the guy, and even worse that I was one of the ones that encouraged him initially to go for it.
I’m pretty certain it’s a scam based out of India or some other southeast Asian country given by the poor grammar and punctuation. On an October 8th instagram post they said they were selling pairs of Streakfly 2s which aren’t even released yet. As a matter of fact they haven’t even gotten an official announcement from Nike.

I believe that you’re probably correct. That’s kind of what it seems like especially with what my buddy is going through with them. I was hoping you were going to say otherwise though.
Posting as a follow up. Nope, and he’s pretty pissed- more at himself for falling for the scam. Lost his money, and no shoes. Stay away from them- actually, that profile was deleted from IG. Possibly masquerading as these people now?

Posting a follow up to a follow up. I’m doing this out of a guilty conscience where I helped my buddy to lost $250 to these people. Their IG page is back up. I would encourage you to click the 3 tiny dots in the upper right hand of their profile page to report this as misleading/scam. Really appreciate your help here.
Hey ! just for information hype utility gear is completely legit the names sound similar but they have been around for a while and do not sell "exclusive" pairs of shoes, their clothes are also authentic! now in relation to the main ones concerned I have their account has been deleted again but I have the impression that it was similar to this one no?

it's the same thing shoes still in prototype for sale, no website I think it's the same principle as when your friend was scammed. They also use image from trackandfieldclothes…
They change their name account and try to be close as possible to real seller… i can give a list of legit account where i have already order from : trackandfieldclothes, HypeUtilityGears, RabbitRunningstore and Bell.lap.track.and.field.gear
It would be great if the shoe companies had links to authorized retailers. They won't because they want to hide the heavily-discounted or low-end shoes on web sites like Sierra and Big 5. But they should. It would really help all of us.
