I know little about boxing. I remember Tyson's fights in the late-1980s to early 1990s and he was a huge star, prior to going to jail. Watched a bit of the Neftlix show about the upcoming fight, and I'd like to see him beat the crap out of the Youtube guy. Is that actually possible, or is the Youtube guy the real deal?
Jake Paul has been training like a pro boxer for several years and he's legit, although very likely on steroids. He will beat Mike Tyson because of the age factor, unless there's some staged act to all this. I think deep down Mike knows he can't win this fight, but is doing it for the money and notoriety of the fight. Mike also had an ulcer recently which postponed the fight to this date. I am betting heavily on Jake Paul.
Unless Mike connects, then it's lights out for the YouTuber
There's a stipulation that they're using slightly larger/more padded gloves, and fighting shorter time length. No one will say it out loud but it's probably so the old man doesn't get too whalloped.

You may be right, it is hard to say. Certainly, Mike Tyson is far more skilled as a boxer than Jake Paul could ever be. It’s not that Jake Paul isn’t a good athlete, it’s just that Mike Tyson started boxing when he was still an adolescent, and his nervous system was elastic and able to learn. Jake Paul didn’t begin until he was well into adulthood.
That said, it is true that Jake Paul will probably have much better endurance because he is young, he probably is on steroids, and he can actually hit fairly hard as evidenced by some one-punch knockouts that he has delivered.
A truly skilled fighter can handle a much bigger, stronger opponent who is less skilled. Logan Paul, Jake’s brother, fought Floyd Mayweather and got the crap beat out of him for 8 rounds, despite outweighing Floyd by at least 30 pounds with a massive reach advantage. Floyd could not knock him out however, as Paul was just too big. For some reason, this was considered a moral victory for Paul.
If Tysons is able to fight for a few rounds in the way in which he is most effective - constantly shifting positions inside the pocket, hammering the body and looking a giant left hook to the head, he could win.
Or Paul could simply hold him all night long. That will make for a very boring night.
Tyson will ring the bells on Paul that he will hear until next year. Paul is just a beast. And he is young. Tyson has the skills and he can take the hit.
Iron Mike has been in with some of the greatest heavyweights ever, he has way too much experience for somebody like Jake Paul. I give it five rounds before we see Paul flat on the canvas.
There has never been anyone who hit harder than Mike Tyson. Could he have beat Ali, I don't think Ali would ever stop and try to duke it out, he would keep Tyson eating his jab as he out pointed the slugger.
Mike probably still has quite a bit of power and technique. Mike has a very very bad knee. You can see this in the Netflix doc with all the KT tape around it. Mike is going to lack speed and endurance.
Jake Paul does not fight real boxers. The one time he fought a legitimate boxer he lost to Tommy Fury. Fury wasn't even a good fighter, just a guy slumming 4-6 round fights.
Jake Paul is a circus show. He is selling entertainment and getting 500k-800k PPV buys. He is not here to be a good boxer, he is here to make a lot of money.
Tyson and Paul will pat around at each other for a few rounds and it will end in a decision win for Paul or a draw. They will both say how great the other one is and how they enjoyed the opportunity to fight in front of the fans.

Mike was unstoppable from '85 to '88. He was champ starting in '86. He had maybe 18 to 24 months where he may have been the greatest boxer ever. However, Cus died and then he fired Kevin Rooney and lost the key training figures in his camp. It was down hill from there and his skills eroded. Then he lost the belt, had a few comeback fights and went to prison. It was a spiral after that.

There’s something called muscle memory, and Tyson’s left town a long time ago. His balance and timing will be way off.

I hate that I'm interested in this. I consider it a personal flaw, and I do not have many...check it...this is my only flaw.
I'm not normally one for circus acts such as this, and I don't give a rat's ass about Jake Paul. He clearly is NOT a "good" boxer, or he'd be fighting real boxers his own age. I didn't care about any of his other fights, and I'm not generally impressed with people who become "famous" due to their outrageous YouTube activity.
I don't even have a heavy favorite here. I suppose I want Tyson to win, but not for any other reason than I watched Tyson with awe when he was in his prime, he's the same age as me, and I think he has gotten his life together after he was a real sh!tshow for a while there.
The main reason I'm interested is to see if a 58 year old former GREAT boxer can compete with a guy 30 years younger. I know that normally that can't happen, but Mike Tyson is not a normal person.

So, I'm interested. My only flaw in life.
Haha. I normally don't agree with you, but I could've written the same this!
I told my wife last night, I might have some friends over for the Tyson fight this Friday... unless I don't watch it because I'm morally opposed to the idea in the first place.

Paul has has 1 fight with a "legitimate" boxer and he lost and that guy was a mediocre cruiserweight.
If Tyson wants to kill Paul he will literally beat him to death in round 1.

He’s going to kill Paul? Someone should stop the fight.
Less than 4 years ago, Tyson pummeled Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition fight, just 3 years before that, Roy Jones was still a World Champ at Cruiserweight(Jr Heavyweight). If you all think that in less than 4 years, Tyson has gone from being able to destroy a not long retired(and one of the greatest boxers ever) in Jones to losing to Jake Paul, you are all insane.
Jones could hardly move or do the interview after the fight with how banged up his ribs were. The fact I have to use Jones as a comparison is ridiculous in itself, Jake Paul has zero, I repeat zero chance
