Would explain why he didn't run this past weekend at the meet UNC was at. Hope it's not true though. Men's NCAA individual race will be less exciting without him
That is simply a horrible statement, Miltenberg is one of the best coaches in the world right now. From formerly coaching at Stanford and coaching the likes of Grant Fisher to coaching at UNC and getting Parker a NCAA title and a Nutteycombe win, how has he failed Parker? Injuries happen, that's the name of the game.
There is a video on YouTube showing Parker Wolfe and the UNC team doing hill workouts and mile tempo at WakeMed soccer park, which would be the site hosting ACC XC next week.

Yes, that was posted on the other thread. Those vids are usually filmed a few weeks before they are released.
I remember thinking it was interesting that Milt kept telling him to tuck into the group on the quicker hill reps. Figured he wanted him to practice pack running or wanted to hold him back for some reason (doing some extra volume, coming off a harder effort, etc.). Could obviously be a bunch of things, but maybe they were working around/back from something. Who knows.
Didn't watch the race but he was right there at 5k. Obviously didn't fade horribly bad, but it's a race you'd expect him to win with some level of ease.
Rocky Hansen another guy who faded even worse. 5 seconds back and in the top 5 at 5k, strong runs this year, turns out he has a little injury or bug according to Gault's interview but he didn't even finish in Wake's scoring 5 (6th runner). On paper he should also be top 2-3 in this race.
He looked off. Pretty sure he’s dealing with some sort of injury and decided to give it a go today. He also went down and stayed down at the finish. He doesn’t really do that after races and I don’t think he was 100% today. Hopefully he bounces back soon. Hats off to Martin.
NCAA 5000 champion Parker Wolfe finished 3rd today after not racing with the rest of the team at Princeton two weeks ago. Wolfe won the Nuttycombe Invitational in September, but he developed a foot injury after the race. UNC coach Chris Miltenberg told LetsRun.com he was leaning towards shutting Wolfe’s season down, but Wolfe was committed to finishing the season with his teammates. Wolfe actually flew back home to Colorado to receive treatment from his father, a physical therapist, who was able to realign a bone in his foot and allow Wolfe to resume training. Now he’s back, but his shot at winning the NCAA title took a major hit as he missed three critical weeks of training because of the injury.
