Ok Camille. We get it. You're #1. Now go edit a wiki page.
Ann Trason ( 14 Times Western States Winner, 2x Comrades winner)
Mary Hanudel Larson ( 5 time Spartathlon winner I think)
Courtney Dauwalter (Winning Hardrock, UMTB Western States)
Jasmin Paris
Eleanor Robinson
I am sure there are a couple more.
As a somewhat older (34) woman, I love Des Linden. She just broke the woman’s world record for the 50k at 37 years old. She just lights me up. I’m not winding down, I’m just getting started and she’s proof.
And being a new mom, I also love Aliaphine Tuliamuk who managed to qualify for the Olympics, get pregnant, have a daughter, recover, continue training postpartum, and run in the 2020 (2021?) Olympics (she did dnf due to a nagging hip injury, but that sheer force of will and ambition is still gold worthy).
I'm not an ultrarunner, the only ultrarunner I know is Jim Walmsley, after seeing all the controversy this week, objectively speaking, is Camille a top 5 all-time ultrarunner?
I did some research on her and find it hard to believe that a 2:37 marathoner is somehow an unbeatable force of nature at road ultramarathons. A lot of her records seem to be held in events that have very little interest/competition (900km? 6 days?!? who the f**k has time for that...).
What is the sauce here folks
The secret sauce is in the wikipedia page.
Tomo Abe comes to mind. 100k 6:33 World Record in 2000 Lake Saroma
Or as a 40 year old Sarah Webster 7:03:40 and 7:03:48 in 2023 and 24
Ellie Greenwood deserves a mention. Former WS record holder and 4x 100K world champ.
She and Trason are the only ones to win Comrades, WS and the 100K world championship.
Also Gerda Steyn, the Comrades and Two Oceans record holder and multiple titles,
Ellie Greenwood is a great pick.

On Camilles wiki page it says she is the best and everyone else is really bad so I have to assume she is the GOAT.
Don't care!
As someone who has followed ultrarunning for a long time in my opinion Camille is a top 5 all-time female. She has never done well on the trails, but she may well be #1 on the roads. She also has had longevity which should count for something.
