He has USA Citizenship, his father was one of the best in the pole vault a few decades ago and he represented the USA, Mondo has been living in the USA most if not all his life, so he just about 100% chance has Dual Citizenship.

He’s a rockstar in Europe, and especially Sweden. His sponsorships are astronomical. Why would he trade all that for having to do an Olympic trials and hawking cheap products on instagram?
And then your corporate pimps wouldn’t have cheap labor to exploit and abuse, and you wouldn’t have people to be racist to and scapegoat for your problems. Not sure right wingers could handle that. Plenty of sh!tholes to be found in red states with low migrant populations!

In interviews, he is quite obviously a native Swedish speaker. His grandfather was a national class pole vaulter, and his mother an outstanding heptathlete. His father (as already mentioned) was an elite American pole vaulter. It is in his dna to be doing what he is currently doing on the field.
It is actually a great idea. It is a win-win-win if you think about it.
1) Sweden won't have to manage the welfare of thousands of migrants who neither speak Swedish nor who can work/live in Sweden (lacking the certifications and licenses for meaningful employment).
2) $34,000 is less than the cost of maintaining immigrants in Sweden (over the long haul).
3) The immigrants can use that money in their home countries to help rebuild those societies. This will improve the quality of life for themselves and make it easier for their families to live in their own homes (since nobody wants to be an immigrant if they had a better option).

I don't think they are "idiots." I think people do what they need to do to take care of their families. If it suddenly was impossible to find a job in Texas and the power was out half the time, I bet a lot of Texans would move north. They aren't stupid and they aren't going to "take one for the team" and just stay put and die.
Plus, I know a lot of immigrants and they are generally super hard working and hustle about 10x harder than Americans doing those same kind of jobs.
But yes, with $34,000 you could really do a lot of good in some of these other countries. Living in Boston or Seattle, well, $34,000 is like 6 months of food and housing.

I work with a bunch of immigrants - mostly from El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala. Not sure if they're totally legal or not.
They are just as lazy as any other group of workers.
Work a shift with these people you would want to build the wall twice as thick, twice as deep, and twice as high.

They need to go save their own countries. Their own gov'ts failed them and it's only continues if they come up here gutless, doing the same, willing to vote in more liberals.

Indeed, win-win-win. New immigrants now just have to sneak in one way or the other to claim the $34K handout.

Wonder if they can do it multiple times a year?
This is a very good point. So much so that I take back my earlier idea. I don't want all of Haiti coming here to claim their free cat and goose.
its ridiculous to think that Trump will kick out 10 to 20million people if he gets into office. As outrageous as Mexico paying for the wall or China paying the tariffs.
So will y'all be happy if he incentivizes them to leave by offering them money to never return? And if so how much?
The only real long term solution to mass immigration worldwide is to create better economic conditions at home. These people wouldnt be risking their lives if they could live comfortably and safely at home.
Countries should offer US/European countries real incentives and tax breaks to let them set up industries in these places. These places have the raw materials, land, energy, cheap labor to set it up. Developed nations have the know how and skills. Imagine setting up development zones in Africa, like we have across the border in Mexico. Its a win win for everyone.

Bwahahahah! Spoken like a guilt ridden white American socialist liberal whos going to change the world with their good deeds.
Im putting my measly $10 bet on the fact they just take the $34k over to Norway and hold out long enough to see what they'll be willing to give them to get out of town.
