Wow. What a race. With two laps to go, they needed two 69s to get it. Instead she went 72.5 and it looked like it was over but she closed in 65 and nearly got it - missed it by .07. What a sprint in the final 100!
I blame the wavelight. I get having a wavelight at WL pace but shouldn't there also be a light on WR pace?
The Ameri ans ran pretty good as Constien ran 9:04 and Jennings 9:07, Wayment 9:14.
Come on now Rojo. No need to blame the wave light. The wave light is a tool which was never used years ago. It should not be a crutch now. Wavi should get another chance to own the wr as she is still young. Sometimes the runners have to own some responsibility. But here there is nobody nor any thing to blame. Wavi ran a great race and she is a dominant performer in her event.
99% of the time i hate the people here who have to bring up doping when people run well but...
come on.
bahrain were sanctioned by world athletics for not following anti doping policies only 8 days ago. salwa eid naser, their other olympic medallist from paris, is an egregious stain on the sport. their previous steeplechase star was ruth chebet, banned for 4 years for epo.
yavi finished this race like rashid ramzi. ridiculous. farcical.
