The 1500m Zurich race is looking to be one of the best DL races ever.
Jakob is in spectacular shape, and probably has the best chance he has ever had to run sub 3 26. Extremely difficult, but perhaps plausible to PR with 0,7 seconds on the perfect day.
For this to happen, things need to align. World class pacers (Sisk?), good conditions (zurich weather this week seems to be around 1-2 m/s, hopefully we'll get a 1m/s day on sep 5th), phenomenal shape, and of course a great track.
We know by now that the Silesia and Monaco track are fast as hell.
Does anybody have good info on the Zurich track? Is it made out of mondo? I know El G ran 3.26.45 there, but is the track still up to the same quality?
Thanks.
