I don't know if we can say he's better - because I have a feeling that Jakob is pretty close to being a 12.40.0 guy himself and he's significantly faster over the mile - that would immediately point to a much higher ceiling over 3000m than Danny K.
That being said, you aren't wrong with the basic narrative that with wavelight Daniel Komen was running faster than 7.20.67. I mean quite simply he was. I don't know if it was 7.17.x but I am sure it would be in the 1.5-2.0 second range he would really have been in that 7.18.5-7.19.0 bracket.
