I think she went in with tempered expectations, knowing what she was up against, but she’s clearly not satisfied with the result. I’d say that’s a good sign for her future. Sounds like we won’t see her race again until next year.
Good. It means she feels she has a lot more to give.
Given that she is only 21 years old, running times no other American collegiate has ever run, shows great potential. Hopefully she signs up with a great team and gets some good altitude training in.
Parker will be 22 next month. We have likely seen the best of her as a runner. Maybe she can run 14:37 and 30:10. That is her ceiling. But she likely won’t reach it.
Valby obviously liked that one close up video clip, the one slotted fourth
And Niels Laros quickly likes every Instagram post from attractive young females in track and field. But I think he's just a nice guy who follows all the events and especially the athletes near his age range. At Dutch gala events he shows up with a Norwegian girlfriend.
She wouldn't be 11th in the world... she's eleventh in the olympics... there are tons of Ethiopians and Kenyans that would crush her but weren't in the olympics.
In that race, she was 11th in the world. Just semantics.
It doesn't mean she considers herself the 11th best runner, I think she/anyone with a brain knows there are other athletes (Gidey, for one) who could finish ahead of her.
She should move to the marathon rate now. It’s the only event where she has a shot of relevancy on the world stage. This American mindset of sticking to the track until your 30s will only waste years that she could compete at a high level in the thon.
Well kept secret: participation in athletics at the Olympics is capped at 3 competitors per country per event.

Give us a break!
PV is a great runner but please DO NOT insult our intelligence!!!

Agreed! Then why write something else on social media?
