This whole thing is so stupid. Lyles has said some stupid stuff. now hill is saying stupid stuff. The only way you could make this remotely interesting is maybe if you made lyles wear football gear and cleats and had a standing start over 40 yards?

The talk is good for the sport, and why the 100m is the most important event.

Hill's acceleration is unmatched on a football field, but there's a reason we never see athletes from other sports just randomly jump into elite track meets and win. As I've heard a few people say over the years, "there's (insert sport) speed, and then there's track speed."

Hill was U20 world champion but a very long time ago.

Also these football guys carry too much weight to sprint anymore.

He would have no hope of beating noah in a sprint race. I saw matthew boling completely demolish some footballers,in a 100 on youtube,after giving them a head start.

It goes both ways. I would love to see Lyles risk breaking a nail playing football.

Those are college players and most of the ones running looked like big and slow lineman types except for the last guy. NFL RBs/WRs/DBs are much faster, although they'd still lose to Boling in 100m.

I'd like to see him and Metcalf race first.

Metcalf ran serviceably well in the 100 a couple years ago.

I was really impressed with DK's 100, he ran 10.36 I think. Yes he came last place but that's a great time for a big guy (he's 6'4" 236 lbs on wikipedia, Bolt by comparison is listed at 6'5" 207 lbs) whose training is not targeting track sprints.

It also however highlights how much slower NFL players are on the track vs. actual elite track sprinters. DK is among the fastest in the NFL.

Tyreek is 1-1 all time vs. Andre De Grasse. His loss was by only 0.02.

Tyreek is 2-0 all time vs. Andre Brown.

Tyreek is 1-0 all time vs. Brandon Carnes.

Yes, Tyreek wouldn't beat Noah Lyles today, but he does have an almost perfect record against global medalists.

Lyles would beat Hill by enough in a 100 he could consider running backwards through the line. Tyreek likes talking a lot of crap, but the only time I’ve seen him suit up is when he raced against randos at that masters meet or whatever it was and ran 6.6 something.
