additions to your list...Kip Keino, daniel komen (3000 is the most impressive distance performance to date), i forget the 400H world record holders name, Michael Johnson (duh)

Remove from your list...Coe (yeah he has the medals but was never really a single, dominant figure...he did get it done when it counted though but still not enough), said aouita (just not quite there either)

Kevin Young is the 400H guy you're thinking of.

Danny Harris holds the current (but fairly old) WR in the 400H but it was Edwin Moses who won over 100 straight races at the distance and held the WR for many years.

Talking distances, no list should leave off Zatopek. The locomtive. Truly amazing.

If aouita made the list then Henry Rono should be added to that. However my vote will always be with Geb!!

Edwin Moses. No man dominated an event like he did. Pure class.

Where do you place Wilson Kipketer of Denmark, Moses Kiptanui and Maria Mutola?

I think they were great in their own right.

That’s true, Kevin Young ran an awesome 46.78 - a good time for the flat race.

ROBERT SNIFFLEGUTT in 1896 was definitely the greatest runner of all time.

So sad that most people don't even know of him.

It's amazing that in the modern era you can consistently dominate world records in the way he did (as opposed to MJ or Beamon who only had one outlier of a performance).
