She was not far from a PR in a race that went out pretty slow. It wasn't flashy but you can't call it a bad performance.

The youngster held up pretty well on world stage for the 1st time.

She is probably able to run a low to mid 30:xx in an even paced race at this point. Needs to work down to mid 29s territory and obviously develop something of a kick along with it. But it's a nice start. it will be all she can do to even match what monson was able to do last couple years. The real studs are able to kick 56-59, whereas it would be something for valby and the other americans to bring their kick from 66-67 down to 60 flat or low.

Yes the announcers got this mixed up. She did good and no foul.

She was part of the inside lane stagger and not the outer lanes stagger. But the field was so large they fanned out wide at the starting line. She was allowed to cut in there, the cones were for the outside lanes stagger to make sure they didn't cut in too soon since they were given a head start to accommodate for the turn.
