In high school Nikki upset the favorites in the Central Coast Section finals and the State Championships when she unleashed her kick 300 meters out. Would she be bold enough to try that in an Olympic final?

Oops! I don't mean to insult Nikki by not using the proper pronouns, but I'm just an old geezer who can't quite keep up.

I think they should follow Cole’s strategy of staying connected as long as possible. Aiming to keep connected, closing any gaps they can is the #1 aim. And then wind it up as best they can 200 onward!

If there was ever a place to dig that deep this would be it.
Everyone is talking like Nikki is our only medal chance. She is definitely a medal contender, but so is ESP. We have 2 runners in this race who could show up big. Especially with Tsegay looking vulnerable.
On the Citius Mag podcast this morning they were saying that the Ethiopian Federation created a policy that their runners have to push the pace from the front or face penalties when they get home. They have been doing that in every race and it has not been working out very well for them. That is nuts. Your governing board telling you what your race plan has to be???
