Heard from his coach today that Grant went back to Switzlerland for altitude between the 10k and 5k.
Got to give it to Grant. He is doing 99.999% of everything to be the best.

Ingebrigtsen won’t be hanging out at altitude between the 1500m and 5000m. Will that give Fisher have an edge for the 5000m?
Probably for the best as I’m sure the village is a zoo with people finishing their events. Hope he stays for the closing ceremony though and enjoys the games as a medalist once the 5k is done.
It doesn't really make a difference

My guess is that going back to Switzerland has far less to do with getting back to altitude, and far more to do with getting out of the circus that surrounds the Olympics. Now he just relax with his friends/family/teammates and get back to work when needed.
Maybe it isn't about the altitude. Just being away from the chaos of the Olympic village to focus on his preparation could be extremely helpful. The Olympic village is bizarro-world.

How would you know that?
