Because despite all the hype and posturing on here there's a masked fear of knowing that she gets outclassed in major events as will happen in a few hours. It's a false front being put on by her rabid fanbase knowing all too well she'll be leaving with a silver medal as usual.

British T&F fans aren't comfortable with being the overwhelming favourite in any event. Fortunately, Keely seems to be cut from a different cloth. She's been there to be shot at for a couple of years now, so is well-versed in handling expectation and pressure.

She only won cause the favorite and somebody she has not beaten at global champs fell at the trials.
Enjoy the medal and next year she can see if she can beat Mu straight up, but so far she has not been able to do that.

If there had been Mu and other W800 names that people are actually familiar with, it would have been different. But good for her for triumphing against 800-anaonymous. Look I like Julietter Whittaker but we got to have a half dozen gals faster than her.

In Britain the TV coverage of Keely has been borderline hysterical. This board is all-in for Valby because she is American.

The reason there's no buzz around the race is because this was about as set in stone as you could get. It was obvious from the SF last night.

Every one of those names minus Mu (who Keely could have beaten blindfolded this year) were in this field, and didn't qualify.
