Cats are smarter. I saw a dog get steam rolled by a truck this morning. Man you guys shoulda heard the thing squealing before another car flattened it.
Cats are probably a bit easier to take care of as they are far more independent than dogs. Dogs are more work, but it's also easier to get them to show outward affection to you. If you're just going for less effort that should be a cat, but of course there's usually more to it and people's preferences of whether they are a cat person or dog person. Just depends what you're looking to get out of it

The only thing cats are good for is sighting in my bow.
I got me a harem of pussie
I have both cats and dogs... they get along marvelously.
Dogs are a little more social. Cats require less attention.
Cabbits are the best.
it depends on the type of person and the type of cat or dog.
different animals are better suited to different people.
My cat has two identifiable emotions, rage and disgust.
I'm fine with that.
Dogs are a great pet for humans.

If you are a lonely introvert, get a dog. They will be a friend to you.
If you are an extrovert with lots of friends, who likes to travel get a cat. A cat is more self-sufficient and doesn't depend on you for everything. It won't anchor you down.
Cats.
Independent.
Doesn't smell.
Lower vet bills.
Enjoys your company.
If you need a pet and not a working dog (big difference), then get a cat. Too many people have a tendency to ignore their dog for most of the day which leaves the animal both mentally and physically unstimulated. My neighbor is one of them.
We have both and like both. The great thing about our cat is if we want to leave for the weekend we just make sure she has enough food, water, and access to her litter box. With the dog we need to take her with us but if we’re going somewhere that we can’t take a dog we have to drop her off with a friend or the kennel.

Some cats need frequent interaction and will attempt to rehome themselves if you are away every weekend following your sports team around the country.

Have you ever been out with friends, and the dog owner has to get home earlier for the dog?
I guess if you don't mind walking behind the dog to clean up it's feces everyday, a dog might be right for you
Dogs!
All day, everyday!

dogs are more than willing to eat their own feces and should clean up after themselves.
