What’s it look like? Have access to treadmill and 1 mile paved stretch by my home. Treadmill measures at 400M/lap. What does a Z5 workout look like for me? Currently do 25min/3miles reached 185bpm. My maxHR is 193bpm. My easy run is around 10:30/mile and my z2 HR is 140-160bpm. What would a proper Z5 workout look like? Doing 4-5 runs a week. Long run is at about 7miles at 10:30 pace right now. Other runs are 3mile TTs, Z2 or steady state. Trying to do more Z2 and less steady and less TTs. How much time should be spent in Z5? Should I do 1 mile repeats? Since I can run those outside? How many, how much rest? The treadmill takes 10-15 seconds to get up to speed, so not sure if pace is best for this? My Lactate threshold HR is about 179BPM. Specializing in 5K atm.
