I've been doing all my regular training in the Mizuno Precision 5 (10.4oz) and speed work/racing in the Mizuno Spacers (7oz). I'm 6'0/158 lbs, average about 80 miles/week and ran a 1:21 half marathon.
I'm going to run the Boston Marathon in a couple of weeks and right now I think that the my legs might need a little more shoe than the Spacer. I did a half marathon a few weeks ago and I initially felt pretty good running in the flats, but by about mile 7 my muscles and joints felt a little pounded.
Last year I was running in the Mizuno Aero for training, but it's not available in North America anymore. I would probably go with those in the marathon if I could.
Should I just go with the Precision or should I expect my legs to feel good after the taper and wear the Spacers?
Is there another shoe to maybe consider?
