I'm a total grouch, I know, but I hate all these stupid "baby on board" stickers you see on cars. What on earth is their purpose? Am I supposed to not hit you or drive recklessly because you have a baby? Does this mean I can in other situations? Or, is it really just that people somehow think it's showing off to proclaim to the world that they taxi their kid around? Just needed to get this off my chest.

consider that a baby is a lot of work. Hence the driver of said car may likely be more tired and therefore more distracted than other drivers. Have you considered that it is a courtesy to you in that you are made aware that you are driving next to someone that may be a little more of s liability?
Yeah I know but it’s in case the car is in an accident, they want first responders to look for the baby. I agree it’s annoying - like looking for special treatment because they spawned.

Well a baby is more vulnerable in a minor crash.
But 95% of the time, they don't actually have their baby on board. They're kind of abusing it.

I would never put one on my car but I think the point is so people don’t ride their ass if they are driving conservatively. Not that complicated dummy

Oscar the grouch, you might be my long lost twin since I rant and argue this for no one to random people on the daily.
"baby on board" stickers/magnets are the older and now less popular version of "student driver" stickers/magnets. i suspect that both are (mostly) used simply because the person is a terrible driver and doesn't like people riding their @$$. really, they should just follow the rules of the road and get the hell out of the fast lane.
The main purpose of the stickers is to annoy people like you. They seem to be working.
