Is this the latest version of the Nike React Infinity 3?

Yes, that is right. But I switched back to the Vomero b/c the RN 4 has the worst outsole known to man. I ran in three pairs of the RN 4 and would see midsole after like 200 miles. The RN 4 also kind of feels like a big slow boat on your foot. Not great for summer sweating, either. Upper retains sweat.
I kind of just wish Nike would make a super lightweight, neutral trainer that was the Vaporfly upper with a normal Peg/Vomero midsole/outsole and sell for ~$100-$150. Who wants all that padding around the upper/tongue/collar?

Thank you.
So same show but slightly different name. Crazy.
It's sorta the latest version, sorta a revamp/new model. The new sole has a different shape and feel, which in my experience makes it smoother at slower speeds but is not as responsive at faster speeds. It's still a good shoe that I keep it in my rotation for easy days, doubles, warm-ups, etc, but is not as good for the moderate to up-tempo stuff that I would use previous Infinity versions for.
The Vomero is much better for faster stuff, and generally is a more capable all-purpose shoe. IMO it's the best all-purpose shoe in the current Nike line-up. Though because it has some ZoomX in the sole the mileage you get out of it may be less than models that are made entirely of ReactX or Cushlon.

Thats kinda what the zoom elite was -a little less midsole than a peg and simple lightweight upper. It's what I used all through my college running and was pretty popular among my team and others, but I don't think it sold well with the masses of rec runners.
Peg turbo fills that niche somewhat as well. I believe they have resurrected that for this fall -a real one not the next nature garbage.
