Hey so I am a runner with current 1:52/3:56/sub 26(8k) PRs and I am around 6'1 165. Ive been trying to cut some weight this summer leading into XC and I just seem to be kinda stuck even though im watching what I eat and how much of it. My body is mostly muscle, and ive noticed that my thigh region is kinda large, which may be a good portion of my weight. I also do have decent upper body muscle, and see myself as a powerful runner.
Was just wondering if I should keep looking into dropping some pounds for raceweight, or if I should just maintain and make the best of my frame? If the latter, can someone possibly drop some names of elite runners with similar measurables that I can maybe model after.
