Moron. 2000m WR was held by all time greats: El Guerrouj, Morcelli, Aouita, Cram, Walker, Nurmi. Ingebrigtsens 2000m WR is also the highest rated in IAAF points for all distance records outdoors.

It's a world record to me dammit.
Wow! I think I have been usurped as the best loser bring down artist.
Whatever! It's a World Record, it's a World Best. It's the fastest time the 2000 has ever been run by a woman. The rest of the discussion is semantics. Talk about having decency!

Wutchu talkin' bout Willis?
2000 is a WA world record event. Check their rule book.
If this was a troll, you epically failed
According to World Athletics (the track version of those bastids who said Pluto's not a planet anymore), it's a World Record Asterisk.
2000m is a world record event.
2 miles (even on the track) is a world best event.
The mile is a world record event.
I don't have a problem with calling it a record, but calling 0.3 seconds/lap a shattering is another matter.

A 3:24.8 1500 would be quite newsworthy.
Or 7.5s off the 10,000 record.
A 42.73 400 would be something.
This is in the shatter category.
