Somewhere I remember reading about a test to predict 800 meter times.
The idea run 2 x 1 min. 1 min between each repeat and measure the distance.
My problem, I cannot remember the formula to plug the data and calculate the predicted 800 meter times..

Ahhh, the Kosmin test...
It's 2x1 mins as hard as you can go with 3 mins. rest between. It's a "rough" predictor of 800m times. I say that because to be as accurate as possible, the athlete basically should run the first minute as if it was a 500m or 600m race.
Here's the formula:
OOOOPS, I had my team do the runs with a one min. recovery. Great results, but they will probably be toast for today's practice.
I think racing an 800m is EVEN a better predictor!
Try the 4 X 400 Relay with 2 people.
