Watching valby’s interview she seems like she favors the 10k and her ranking should get her in. If ESP and/or Cranny make it in the 1,500m and opt for that and valby passes to focus on the 10, would morgan have the ranking to get in? 15:05 sb at the trials, i think ran a hair faster last summer if that counts for anything

She indicated that she felt she had a better chance in the 10K, but I’m not so sure she prefers it to the 5K. I think she’ll do both of given the chance. There’s 3 days off between the 5K final and the 10K. She also said her legs feel great after all of the racing she’s done recently. She should be good to go for both.

She'll get a bigger pro contract if she runs both
Definitely. The higher profile the better. Valby bet on herself and won by not signing early. She had a higher profile than virtually anybody at these trials and more air time.
Beyond the better pro contract, if Valby runs both the 5k and 10k at the Olympics, she will be a main story on American TV, which will get her huge exposure. With her looks, this will lead to much bigger endorsement contracts aka money. She would be a fool to pass on one of the events and she's no fool.
