Maggi Congdon, looked smooth and in control throughout her semi-final race and lowered her PR from 4:07.81 to 4:02.79. SHe is listed as a junior but may have 2 more years of track eligibility.
True, but she is still 15 months older than Wiley. Mu technically wasn't a "collegiate" at the '21 Trials but at only 19-years-old, she was the youngest person there.
Congdon's performance makes her the #7 performer on the Collegiate All-Dates List. The USTFCCA somehow added Elise Cranny's time from last night to the All-Dates List at #5. Don't know how that happened. I also do not know why they seem to have taken Klaudia Kazimierska off the list.

Her first race of the outdoor season was mid April (4x400). Her first 1500 was the beginning of May. She has timed her season well. Continual improvement. And looked easy in the semi.
This is a stacked field but if the final is tactical this kid could potentially grab a spot on the team. She has got some wheels.
she raced with savvy and guts. she tucked in the rail, stayed on Elise Cranny's shoulder the whole time, very smart positioning. there was a moment when the lead pack was 6 runners and she fell back a step, but immediately surged to stay attached. she even outkicked Addy Wiley in the end.
she couldn't have picked a better race to PR by 5 seconds.

great to see a collegian in the final and she has been running really smart...
If I recollect correctly, this young lady was mentioned in the thread about what a terrible coach Mike Smith is, and how NAU is a poor school for milers.

You do realize there are those who say the absolute dumbest things to draw attention to themselves on here…
