Several people in an earlier post expressed their desire to find a replacement for the Nike Air Streak Ekiden.
Post here if you have found a suitable replacement.
From what I've seen in pictures, the Kantana Racer looks a lot like the Ekiden. My guess is that Nike had a great shoe (Ekiden) and decided they weren't getting enough $$ for it. So they discontinue it, and bring it back with another color & name, and increase the price.

The Air Streak Spectrum Plus was just the Ekiden with a different (somewhat more roomy) upper.
Are the Air Streak Spectrum Plus available? Where?
Do a google search and you'll find them on sale at eastbay for $69.99.
They look to be a little heavier (couple ounces) than the streak XC (which are going for $64.99). I will let you know how I like the streak XCs after they show up.

I don't remember anyone talking about this shoe. What thread are you on?
You might try the Kantana Cage ... Very lightweight racing flat/trainer caged zoom air in the heel..phylon midsole upfront. I have my 1/2 miler training in them for longer speed stuff on the track and he really likes them.
Dump Nike and go with Asics. You will thank me.

i used to race in the ekiden, like it a lot. then switched to the mizuno wave phantom racer and never noticed a difference. it is a great shoe, even will last a bit longer, definatley worth giving it a look.
