My predictions summed up in a short list:
US Title- Bryce Hoppel: his aerobic strength is on another level this year after training with Kessler and he honestly looks better than ever. CLEAR favorite.
#2 Spot: Isaiah Harris: also took a massive step up in 1500m strength with a PR in Portland. He also has been here so many times.
#3 Spot: Isaiah Jewett: I feel like I need to put one 400/800 guy here and his US #2 of 1:44.0 shows me he can front run and hold on for a top spot.
WHO IM LEAVING OUT: Clayton Murphy, and Brandon Miller. Both have a chance but leave a little to be desired compared to the others.
DARK HORSES:
Eric MF Holt: I'm giving him a serious shot based off of some sweat elite workouts and his 1:45 PR this season. Honestly he might be just as fit and fast as any 800/1500 guy out there.
The NCAA boys: Shane Coen and Sam Whitmarsh. Both have nasty kicks, the ability to navigate rounds and the ability to even split 1:44.xx 800m races.
