Has anyone noticed that world athletics has invalidated the results for the men’s and women’s 10,000 and the women’s 5,000 at NCAAs for TR 5.5 (rule regarding shoe stack height). Presumably these are the races where at least some athletes wore super shoes. All athletes results are not counting for world rankings though, not just the athletes who wore the super shoes. For instance Parker Valby’s 5000 win outdoors isn’t currently factoring into her ranking even thought she wore legal spikes. Seems like we knew they could do this, but I don’t think world athletics has done this until now.
