Nah. Only third was the issue. First and second were both attractive and smart women. If you think otherwise you need your eyes checked. Third place finisher is openly cheating. Not even trying to hide it. Embarrassing for the sport.
But change your gender and you too can go from being a 24.12 second running nerdy athlete on the men’s team to an All-American!

The problem with y’all is that you don’t look at this as an opportunity. With trans athletes and legalized gambling, what better way is there to make money than to bet on biologically male athletes in these women’s races?
Good for her. I am very happy to see transgender people being able to live as their correct gender instead of the one miss assigned to them at life.
The vitriol they get at this place is uncalled for and hateful but I do hope out in the real world where it matters everyone no matter where they are including the athletic field is accepted.
Schreiner also wore split shorts while literally every other sprinter at nationals wore spandex. Definitely to hide the twig and berries
The fact isn’t even in dispute that the athlete is biologically male, so it’s not just an accusation.
Like I said, openly cheating. Competed as a male previously, went through puberty as a male, felt entitled to trophies and medals so switched to an easier division.

In the real world they get booed even in the progressive state of Oregon

What does this have anything to do with being "attractive"? Would they be less deserving if they were unattractive? Would you accept a trans athlete if she were attractive?
Those women are athletes, not Onlyfans content creators.
"cheating" implies some sort of fakery or illegality. this is openly known enough for you to complain. it's not hidden. they aren't gaming the system. they aren't boys by day running as girls. RIT girl has social media showing her living her normal life in girl's clothes. this is just about do they get to run their weekends like they live their week.
fwiw RIT runner is actually a half second slower at 200 than the kid in oregon HS state. that, to me, says more about D3. and for the year she was 3rd, 8th, and 9th in nationals races. in terms of protecting women, one person, with finishes like those, in one event of many, in one division of four, does not scream we need to fix it.
The NCAA is in the process of updating its rules. A couple years ago they said that sports need to follow the rules set by the international governing bodies. Since WA adopted its latest policy in 2023 it appears that the NCAA is lagging behind. Expect that new NCAA rules for track and field will apply next academic year (fall 2024). That means hormone blockers won't be sufficient, that future transgender athletes will have to have had treatment starting before puberty.
That means from this next fall until, hmmm maybe 2029, you idiots won't be able to complain about the NCAA transgender policy. Until then maybe STFU, okay?

The national governing body's rule take precedence over the global governing body's rule.
That means USATF needs to enforce the World Athletics rule in their domestic meet. They don't think this is an urgent issue because no trans woman is good enough to qualify for the Olympic Trial.
And there is at least one HS athlete who is eligible under the World Athletics policy, and would be good enough to compete in D1.

I am left of center. Even left of center in the UK where I’m from - where center is way to the left of the US center. I am happy for people to be out as trans. I’m happy to call them by their chosen name and pronouns. I can probably even get their on bathrooms given there are Individual stalls. But for biological males to be competing in women’s sports is completely unfair to women and for people like you to put the mental well-being above of one trans athlete above the possibility of success of all the other girls in the field is not right. And this is a fringe issue just now and 97% of the US/UK do not even know this is an issue. If you do not think that this becoming a campaign issue will make the left looking absolutely crazy to normal people (again - sports in particular - as I say I think most people get there on the names) you are wide of the mark.
