I've never seen Suzy naked. She doesn't need to be. Woman is HOT.

Suzy is still a damn fine athlete even if she gets beaten by Jacobs. Who says we can't love a non-winner. Anna Kournikova is worthy of that, so why can't Suzy be. Actually though, Suzy is way more accomplished in her sport than Anna is in hers.

OK Midwesterner runner and fellow rocket scientists, the man with the plan and the knowledge is back. First of all lets give props to the gal that said I want the pace to go out in 2:04 and the first lap to go out in 60-that was gutsy. Not only saying that but actually carrying that out as well showed guts-and she still ran a great time-she is strong as hell.

As for the other things-quick thoughts-Suzy ran a dumb race, she knew it the second she finished-she was in no man's land, she should have picked the front 2 or the pack the first few laps-although if she would have run with the pack I think that whole pack would have run slower-she ended up running as a rabbit for the main field really-and she still finished with a solid time-not alot of rabbits do that. Also 4:01.03 is not a solid time unless u suck. Regina will never run under 4min because that requires taking chances and going out hard-and she doesn't do that because she is scared she will get burned doing it like she has every time she has tried. Regina finished well-but she does that-I just find it hard to respect someone who refuses to ever push it from the gun or do any work ever in a 1500m race. If they were running a 4:30 1500m pace she still wouldn't take the lead. She is a coward and will always be one. And if u think she will run faster than 4:01 next week u are wrong-she won't break 4:01 this year. Which by the way, is a full 2 seconds slower than my good friend u love to bash.

That doesn't sound like her. She seems to have been a lot more intelligent of a runner since she learned how to keep track of the number of laps in a 1500 meter race.

How many times has Regina Jacobs run under 4 minutes. Anybody can sit and kick to win, not everybody can actually run fast.

You all must forget that Regina took Mastercova to the line a few years back in the mile at the Goodwill Games by pushing the pace from the gun. As for Suzy, She din't run a stupid race she just lost to Regina, Again. What's the score now 19-4 Jacobs? There is no rivalry. Suzy has run under 4:00 that's great take nothing away from her. However, the bottom line is if Suzy looked like Marla or her old training partner Wickus would anyone give a rat's ass about her?

I was at that race in '98-she didn't push her to the line dumbass-and if Suzy wouldn't have went after her then Masterkova never would have run that race-it was Suzy that towed the field back to Regina with 600m to go in that race. And Masterkova ended up winning that race-Regina acted like no more than a temporary rabbit-Suzy made that race fast for the field by making the decision to go after Regina and bridge that gap-Masterkova just sat and kicked there when she needed to to win that race. I hope to god Suzy gets that 3:57.12 then in 15 years that is allllll that will matter. NOW please insert your lame arguement that ohhh Steve Holman was better than Steve Scott even though Steve Scott ran faster and holds the American record-that would be the next one.

You make no sense. Steve Scott was a MF on the tour but he was not good in the big ones ( sorry Steve ) Holman ran some fast times and didn't run as well in the championships and Suzy as not shown she can up to the present time ( and I don't mean NCAA stuff ). Regina has WC medals in track, indoor and out so give credit where it is due. Over the year's her record speaks for it's self. Yes, Suzy as a faster time as broken 4 minutes but your stane on her being a better runner just doesn't make sense but that's what boards are for

I have to agree that when it comes to a showdown between Regina and Suzy, Regina's got Suzy on a leash. I mean look at 2000 US 1500 Trials when Suzy was at the top of her game. She still lost to Regina. Suzy only runs her best when Regina is not in the picture.

I don't understand what you guys are arguing about but with regards to Steve Scott not running well in the big ones -- didn't he medal at the '83 worlds?

Suzy ran 4:03. If you are calling that a solid time for her AND saying 4:01 is not a solid time unless you suck. YOU are saying that Suzy sucks! With "friends" like you she doesn't need enemies.

Also, if Regina never leads and ther is honor in pushing the pace even if it entails fading, what's up with this regarding Regina:

Didn't you just finish praising Suzy for that. Sounds like Regina can push the pace to me.

Why are u people so slow in the head? Purpose of the 4:03 solid time comment was made to convey the idea that when u act as a rabbit and charge out and burn the energy the majority of the time they NEVER finish the race-she did, finished well considering that fact and handled the last lap of pain pretty well.

Regina in how many years of running took one chance, one humid summer night on long island-and she paid for it, and she is that much of a coward that she won't allow herself to ever do it again-that is gutless.

There will only be one of the four under 4min and that is the one that has already done it. Regina won't go out hard-and won't ever break it. Teter is built for a fast finish-unless she does some longer distance stuff she will just burn herself any time she goes out in 2:10 or faster, and Runyan could do it but from what she has said I don't think she is going to run enough 1500m races to get there.

Whatever Regina, Nicole, anybody who expresses an opinion that does not exault Suzy does=bad

You're a friend of hers, great, that is what good friends do for each other. However, you cannot discuss anything related to Suzy objectively and I don't see why you have to put other people down to say something positive for Suzy. Please, it doesn't look good, it actually reflects poorly on Suzy although she probably has nothing to do with what you're saying. It would show more class and maturity to not point fingers at her competitors.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "The reward of a thing well done is to have done it." Let Suzy run, overlook the peanut gallery,and take the higher road when you feel she is unjustly criticized because frankly, you're giving me a migraine.

NO LIMIT: Regina and Suzy are both world class athletes,

with Regina being the most accomplished and Suzy being the

fastest for the time being! Now NoLimit answer this, "Do

Suzy have enough time in here athletic career to win as

many medals (World in/outdoor, Goodwill Games, and USATF

Titles) as Regina. Lets see Suzy have about 2 or 3 titles of the foremention events in () and Regina approx 15 or 16!

While Regina CAN POSSIBLY run a sub 4 min before her career

is over, our dear Suzy will never accomplish as much as

Regina in rest of her (Suzy) career! Suzy is current faster than Regina but is not even close to being Regina's

equal. If you can muster an arguement to this NO LIMIT-

you might have a problem you should deal with.

I agree with Leehamster (is that his name?) Man men I know, including me, find Regina very attractive. And I do recall the memorable Runner's World photos. I have never understood the digs made at Regina's looks on here. Not everything that's goodlooking comes in a busty little blonde package, you know. Try to have more ecumencial tastes, it'll do you good.

As for this endless Regina vs Suzy debate, it's remarkable, in both good and bad ways, that the two of them have stood held and shoulders together over every other U.S. 1500-meter runner since at least 1996 (when Juli Henner was the last real challenger to their supremacy, and her only briefly). But, you know, along with that truckload of USATF Championships, Regina has a total of four World Championships medals indoors and outdoors and Suzy has none. That pretty much tells the tale.
