What are the spikes that Mottram wears? He has them on in pretty much every recent race photo I've seen.

why would Nike do a special makeup on an old shoe? my guess is that he likes that one exactly as is, that's why he has it when every other Nike athlete is wearing this year's stuff (or something only they can get).

Looking at the bottom in the first pic it does look like the normal shift plate, though granted you can only see part of the plate. I actually still have those.
They are your normal everyday run of the mill zoom shifts from 1999. Nike did make a pair for him in blue/white last year after the world champs (he was wearing them in Zurich). He was also wearing a different pair last week in his 2km record run (they were green and gold, but there were not the shifts).
Do you think Nike will make a pair of 'Busters' to rival the 'Kennendy's'

bekele and a lot of the africans used to always wear the orange version of those in world cross. the plate is excellent for forefoot strikers.

The orange version has a completely different plate, similar to the Kennedys or JSCs/Maxcats in spike placement, with the 4 spikes along the inside and one spike on the outside.
The orange/white version is the mid-distance version of the zoom shift. Mottram has the zoom shift LD on.
Speaking of which, if anyone has the MD (orange) version of the zoom shift or knows where to find one, sz 9.5 gimme a shout.
I've run in the LD and wasn't too impressed...the MD just seems like a far superior spike, anyone run in them or used to run in them?
