Kennedy's-Light, gets you up on your toes. They have a great feel to them, but take a race or two to get used to, esecpially long races 8m/10k otherwise your calves get hammered. This is solved by training in them before hand though. Replaable Spikes=nice long use. 3 years I had mine until i rippes them hardcore on a european XC meet. Never Steepled in them...good 400-10000 or beyond if proberly trained. Don't worry about the spike configuration....I'm an underpronator and love it!!!
Jasari's- Lightweight, smooth, breathable, drainable. Not ultrasupportive, but do a good job of getting you on your toes. Excellent Traction.....Customizable. Tough to race a long race in when not problerly trained in spikes, but same problem as Kennedy's. Drain nicely, but have never steepled in them...good 400-10000, couldnt imagine anything longer
Ventulus-Excellent feel, smooth inside. Good ride, excelent for any distance. Good traction. Good all around shot like the Kennedy's. Good and supportive. Drain nicely. Awesome spike for 1500-10000 or well beyiod, if there was ever a cross country marathon these would be my spike for it!!!
Replacable VS Permanant Spikes
It is nice to not have to worry about the spikes wearing down, but even without you still need to worry about the plastic wearing out. The spikes do last a long time if properly maintained and cared for, any track spikes wiht a plastic plate will wear out on concrete no matter the spikes on it. I've had my venst for a while now. If it's your senior year go with permanet without any hesitation....even if they wear out it doesnt matter. Plus they look cool when hung up!!! My Vents have actually lasted longer than my Kennedy's because I cared for them more because I only used them on all grass courses and ran along side paths if there was concrete.
