I would expect 1:44 800ms out of 1500m guys with 47.6 speed. And if they would run 10.5, I would really expect them to be down around 45s with their endurance profile.
Curtis Beach ran 10.52 in the 100, 1:47 in the 800 but only 3:59 in the 1500. Certainly a chance he would have been able to shave a little off the 1500 but doubtful he could run the 5k or 10k women’s world record. I could see rudisha being able to run 10.5 and sun 14 in the 5k.
Not in that context. There is no way he could run 10.5 for the 100m. He would have been a 44x runner for the 400 if he had and chasing Rudisha's wr for the 800.
Reckon Eric Holt could come close. Dudes a tank and has some crazy foot speed. Also Cole Hocker would be damn close

I think people overestimating the difficulty of the 10.49. That is only the 10th fastest time in D3 this year.
I think any of the world-beater 20-25 year old 800m runners in their prime would have the force production and turnover to make it happen.
Most 800 runners wouldn't crack 10.5. The only one I think who could was Juantorena, who had a pb of 20.7 for the 200. 10.5 or below is the realm of a sprinter, not an md runner. If a md runner could beat 10.5 they could run 44 for the 400 (as Juantorena got close to.) But most guys that fast can't put two decent laps together. Being a sprinter and an md runner doesn't mix.
10.5 is hot garbage compared to pro sprinters. Look at prime Donovan Brazier hauling ass in a 4x400 leg then tell me he couldnt mix it up in the D3 National Prelims with a little focused training.
It's highly unlikely that a single man could run faster than the women's world record in every track event from 100 meters to 10,000 meters. The physiological differences between men and women, particularly in terms of muscle mass, bone structure, and hormonal composition, contribute to performance variations between the sexes in athletic endeavors.
at a WR level i don't think it exists. your usain bolt could run the sprints faster but couldn't do the distance end at even a competitive D3 level. i think the quickest distance runners would have more range down to about 400 but at best reach average pro women's level short sprint times, eg 11s 100m, not the WR level which takes some chops and a half second lower.
maybe you could chase it with elite decathletes with built in versatility who just haven't competed long, or if you took a special fast 10k type and said, we're training on nothing but sprints now. the latter could latently do your distance times and then could maybe be trained into college level sprint times that are the women's WRs.
This a debate only because the majority of men, globally who are capable of f.a.t. 45.50 to 46.50 400m do not become 800m athletes. The majority of men capable of f.a.t. 45.50 to 46.50 400m, the men who can sprint sub-10.49 100m and race 29-flat 10000m, max out 400m in their late teens or early twenties, then go on with their lives or they play soccer or Am. football or maybe another pro sport. Maybe there are some hockey players capable of f.a.t. 45.50 to 46.50 no one knows about.
