Legit. Rupp wore these prototypes at the 2016 trials in LA.

The mayfly was a 4.4 oz shoe with a super minimal sole that only lasted about 60 km. I used to use them for track 5 and 10 ks. It was one of the lightest flats every made, but not the lightest.
Not sure about what is going on with this shoe on ebay but its not that mayfly and it doesn't look like something worth 1000+

Above is not accurate. Yes there was another shoe called the Mayfly but not the one in the photo. The photo is legit.

I remember those, though. Super light road flats like that always got me hot and bothered.
