An unfortunate reality about "performance" clothing is that it's almost impossible to close the gap in quality, research, methods, construction, scale, etc. when compared to the big players.
For small brands like Miler and Tracksmith and Bandit, it's very hard for them to make objectively better clothing. Although it is possible to make good fits if you have smart garment designers, everything else is working against them.
The only real reason one has to buy these brands is you like the styling. Miler? All black and boring? No thanks. Tracksmith? Looks dumb and their branding is obnoxious. I don't know much about Bandit but their website looks like it's gonna try to steal Bitcoin from me in exchange for an NFT circa 2020.
I think the niche running brands like Tracksmith, Rabbit, and Oiselle are a refreshing break from the clothing at big box stores. I am a fan of all three.
They have some nice graphics but I would never pay that ever.
But I guess some people like to be part of "something fancy".
When I run as a bandit in a race, I wear a nude colored speedo, socks, shoes and nothing else. Does this brand sell those?
This is just an N of 1 but I have one of their tops. The material is good but the cut is way to big and boxy.
I made the mistake of spending like $200 on a couple of Vuori shirts and shorts not long ago. The quality and just basic functionality is nowhere close to what I expected at that price point, and when I have the choice I usually just wear my Adidas running shirts/shorts that I bought online on clearance for like 1/4 the price.
