He is making up an excuse for not being able to get a paid scholarship. So, his mom wants to sue to pay his way. I need to go back in time and sue for not getting a single scholarship. My parents were poor, so I worked while going to college and paid my own way. I ended up top five in my grad class at UCLA in engineering (not fast enough to be on the track team, but often ran with them on training runs).

This school boy needs to grow a pair and man up ... pay his own way.

Couple things

- The kid is probably a clown always trying to get a rise out of the teachers. I guarantee it wasn't the first disruptive thing the kid said in class.

- The kid's mom isn't doing him any favors by crying to the media about it. Her faux outrage is probably tied to a lawsuit that she's filing against the district.

He could have served his suspension and nobody would have cared, no scholarship lost, nothing.

But now, coaches know he's a pain in the ass and his mom is too.
